Thursday 29 / Dec / 2011Genera Interactive has dived into the world of the pop-up, and they have done it in style, with a delightful application, 'The Wizard of Oz,' which has just landed in the Apple Store and is now available for iPad. Soon, it will be available for iPhone.
The Wizard of Oz, for now only available in English, is an interactive book that re-tells this classic of children's literature with a fun, up to date version. Without doubt, an ideal application for kids, who have the opportunity to follow the instructions and the story throughout it’s 12 double pages of text and 10 interactive pop-up scenes. With interactions going from taking the ruby slippers from the witch to using special glasses to see the Emerald City more clearly, because education and learning go hand in hand in this revised version of the Lyman Frank Baum classic.
The first pop-up from Genera Interactive incorporates sensational interactive 3D graphics, a multitude of interactive elements to interact with, original sound effects and music, and much more.
The accelerometer can be used in the different scenes or in the maze mini-game incorporated in the application. Additionally the reader can choose between, 'Read it myself' or 'Read to me,' with a professional narration of the story.
